About

Duke Nukem: Episode 2 - Mission: Moonbase is a 2D side-scrolling shooter with platforming elements. Play as Duke, a sarcastic action hero armed with shotguns, grenades, and a never-ending supply of attitude. Blast through waves of robotic enemies on a lunar base while navigating floating platforms, dodging traps, and cracking jokes between gunfights. The levels mix vertical and horizontal movement requiring precise timing and quick reflexes. Collect health packs and ammo to survive increasingly chaotic battles. The game stands out for its over-the-top humor and relentless energy. Duke’s punchlines land as reliably as his headshots creating a chaotic blend of action and comedy. Though dated by today’s standards the game built a cult following for its bold personality and frenetic gameplay. Released in 1991 it helped define early 90s action games with its blend of satire and shootouts. The sequel retains the formula’s simplicity while expanding its lunar setting with new hazards and larger set pieces.

Storyline

Duke Nukem is the debut of the world’s greatest wise-cracking, alien-punching, gun-toting badass - a man who would later go on to combine both ass-kicking and bubblegum in a revolutionary way. In a world ravaged by Dr. Proton’s villainous ambitions, the original video game action hero must rise against the evil scientist’s army of sinister Techbots. And although Duke isn’t exactly what the Doctor ordered, he’s exactly what the world needed.
