Dweller is a turn-based RPG where you descend into procedurally generated tunnels to battle creatures and reclaim stolen treasure. Choose from three character types each with distinct skills. The deeper you go the tougher the foes get. Boss fights require adapting to shifting layouts and resource management. Collect gear to upgrade your abilities between runs. The goal is simple: reach the bottom and defeat the antagonist hoarding your loot. The game runs on devices from old phones to modern PCs making it one of the earliest examples of cross-platform persistence. Its 2003 release date is surprising given how smoothly the random dungeon generation works. No voice acting or fancy graphics here just straightforward pixel art and permadeath tension. Over 150 levels await if you can survive the climb.
