EA Playground is a collection of 10 mini-games inspired by schoolyard classics. Play as a single player to unlock content by completing challenges or jump into local multiplayer with up to four players on split screen. Each game has simple controls tailored to the Wii and DS. Compete in activities like slinging paper airplanes, jousting with tetherballs, and volleying kicks, a hybrid of soccer and volleyball. The single-player mode strings these into a loose progression but focuses on unlocking new challenges and characters. The charm comes from the variety. Mini-games range from the expected like dodgeball to niche picks like wall ball. Split-screen matches stay lively even with uneven player counts.
