About

Earthworm Jim: Menace 2 the Galaxy is a chaotic shooter-platformer that packs 12 zany stages into a portable package. Play as the sardonic space worm armed with four weapons as you leap, shoot, and jet-pack through alien worlds teeming with enemies and traps. The Game Boy Color version adds a special level not found in other ports, making it the definitive version for handheld play. Fast paced and full of absurd humor, it demands quick reflexes and a tolerance for 90s cartoon-era weirdness. The game follows Jim’s battle against his evil twin over a dimension-hopping doomsday device, a plot thick with cutscenes and character cameos from the TV series. While controls feel a bit cramped on the tiny screen, the over-the-top action and goofy dialogue keep it addictive. With a Metacritic score of 72, it’s remembered as a solid follow-up to the original’s legacy, offering just enough variety across its stages to keep players coming back for another round of wormy mayhem.

Storyline

One of Earthworm Jim's enemies from the animated television series, Evil Jim, has returned to cause chaos in the Galaxy. Our hero's evil doppelganger has stolen a doomsday device, the Inter-Dimensional Transporter-of-Doom, which he plans to sell to the highest bidder. Earthworm Jim has to search numerous worlds for the doomsday device and recover it from his evil twin, on a new quest that will bring him face-to-face with many of his oldest foes.
