EctoPlaza is a spooky action game where you navigate a haunted shopping mall teeming with restless spirits. Using the Wii U’s touchscreen and motion controls you battle ghosts collectibles and figure out the plaza’s eerie history. The gameplay loops around quickfire combat and exploration with a focus on using environmental objects to fend off supernatural threats. This title carved a niche for itself with its quirky charm and creative use of hardware. While not a massive commercial hit it built a cult following for its offbeat humor and polished mechanics.
