About

Edenfall is an indie visual novel where you play Eden, a strange, plant-like entity obsessed with winning over an angel named Ezekiel. The story unfolds in a decaying city where your choices shape a romance complicated by cosmic-scale differences. You navigate Ezekiel’s growing fascination with the broken world around her, even as she pushes you away. The game thrives on awkward longing and impossible desires, blending surreal imagery with a narrative that leans into emotional tension more than action. The game’s strength lies in its quiet, melancholic storytelling and a central relationship that feels both intimate and doomed. It avoids flashy set pieces in favor of dialogue and atmospheric moments, letting the strangeness of Eden’s existence and the slum’s dying glory linger. While its pacing is deliberate and abstract, the poetic tone and haunting visuals have earned praise from niche audiences. Newcomers can jump in without prior knowledge of the Seraphim Slum series, though context adds depth. Edenfall is a small, strange experiment in love as a kind of cosmic collision.

Storyline

You're Eden, an eldritch thing. You're in love with your angel Ezekiel. But Ezekiel is enamoured by the slum she is damned to and the angels stagnating in it. She wants the slum angels to fall. You would to do anything to help her. But she wants you, eldritch thing you are, to swallow up the slum as she dallies with its angels. She wants you away from her, wants to love something that is not you. And that just can't do. You must make Ezekiel love you. You must tell Ezekiel you love her. You may be a mass of vines and branches but you have a confession to make. Somehow, you must find a way. (Parchments, radios, songs… something pulsing alive. Ezekiel must hear it.)
