About

Epic Battle Fantasy: Adventure Story is a side-scrolling action game with a focus on precise platforming and timed combat. Developed by Matt Roszak in 2011, it diverges from the main series' RPG elements to deliver 20 levels split across four themed worlds. Each stage challenges players to dodge hazards, solve jump-based puzzles, and clear hordes of enemies with melee attacks. Collectibles and hidden paths add depth while the controls demand quick reflexes and spatial awareness. The game stands out for its shift toward pure action gameplay compared to its predecessors. The story setup is delightfully absurd, villain Lance arrives in a tank to kidnap a character mid-walk, setting a tone that mixes humor with challenge. While the pixel art and chiptune soundtrack feel nostalgic, the difficulty spikes in later levels test even seasoned players. With support for PC, Mac, and web browsers, it remains a solid pick for fans of old-school platformers who don’t mind a steep learning curve.

Storyline

Matt, Natalie, and NoLegs are out for a walk when Lance suddenly appears in a massive tank. He knocks out the group and takes Natalie hostage.
