"Finally, it seems we have some competition in the superbike video game space. RiMS Racing is a solid start from RaceWard Studio, and they should be proud of what they have built. From here, expanding upon the bike roster should be priority number one, because we are spoiled for choice in other bike racers. Just the thought of this team getting their hands on new bikes to scan, model, and record gets me excited in much the same way as hearing Polyphony Digital does the same thing to add to their roster of cars. You just know it's going to be given the royal treatment! The parts removal/installation mechanic is neat, but a way to speed on past it would be great for those who play games to get away from the more mundane portions of a hobby. One thing is for sure: it's an invigorating time to be a superbike fan, and RiMS Racing is a great example of why."

Extreme Riverboat Racing throws you into the driver's seat of a speedboat hurtling down treacherous waterways. Your goal is simple: reach checkpoints before the clock runs out while weaving through floating hazards, enemy vessels, and sudden cannon blasts. Controls are tight and responsive letting you dodge obstacles with quick turns and boosts. The focus is pure action with little room for strategy or exploration just you the river and a wall of chaos. The game shines in its relentless pace and accessibility. Short bursts of gameplay make it easy to pick up and play though mastering the routes takes precision and luck. With no multiplayer or branching paths it leans fully into its single-player thrill ride identity. Players looking for deep mechanics might find it shallow but the straightforward challenge has earned it a niche following among arcade fans. Its 2007 release date means it's aged into a brisk if basic test of reflexes.
