This is a canceled sequel to the PS2 hack and slash title where you controlled four distinct Vault dwellers fighting through wasteland hordes. Interplay was building it with the Dark Alliance engine before shutting the project down right near the finish line. Each character offered a different combat style, and the story split based on whether your actions leaned good or evil. You would have unlocked fourteen new weapons and faced ten fresh enemy types in a world that supported two player co-op action. The game was supposed to introduce a sneaking system for using sniper rifles or following targets quietly. Players who could not sneak would instead man turrets to hold their ground. A simplified reputation mechanic tracked your choices across the campaign, changing how NPCs reacted to you. Development started while the first game was still out, and it reportedly caused the cancellation of Black Isle Studio's Fallout 3 project. If released in late 2004, this would have been a different take on the franchise that focused more on action than traditional RPG depth.
