Familia casts you as one of four characters teaming up to drive invaders from their shared homeland. The story unfolds through classic turn-based battles and branching dialogue choices that shape relationships. Retro pixel art and synth-heavy tracks evoke late 80s and early 90s JRPGs without directly copying any one title. Character classes gain new skills through a grid-based progression system that rewards experimentation. While the 20-hour campaign feels modest compared to modern RPGs the character arcs earn praise in indie circles. Each protagonist has distinct abilities that matter in late-game scenarios. The Android port lets you play on the go but the simple UI works just as well on bigger screens. Released in late 2019 it maintains a small but active player base on PC and Mac platforms.
