Farland Story is a strategy RPG where combat drives the action. You lead Arc and his party across battlefields, positioning knights archers and priestesses to attack enemies within range. Every strike triggers a counterattack creating a tense back and forth. Experience points accumulate with each hit letting characters level up mid fight. Shopping and towns exist but only between battles keeping the focus on tactical clashes. The game stands out for its relentless combat system where growth happens in real time during fights. The story follows Arc a knight racing to rescue his captured lover from a Black Knight’s army. Released in 1993 it ran on PC-9800 and DOS platforms. While its retro visuals and manual turn based gameplay might feel dated the blend of class based strategy and immediate progression mechanics earned it a cult following among older RPG fans.
The main hero of the game is a knight named Arc, who is in love with the beautiful priestess Ferio. One day, when Arc and his best friend Randia are out of town, a hostile army under the command of a mysterious Black Knight invades the town and kidnaps Ferio. Thus begins Arc's quest to defeat the enemies and to rescue his beloved one from their clutches.
