Farland Story: Tenshi no Namida is a turn-based strategy RPG that layers class-based combat over a grid-based world map. Players direct a party of characters with distinct roles, issuing movement and attack commands before enemies respond. Spells and physical strikes depend on unit classes, and experience is earned through every hit landed or received. Leveling happens mid-battle, letting players adapt tactics as stats shift during conflicts. The focus is on careful planning and exploiting enemy weaknesses through positioning and timing. The story centers on a forgotten girl named Fana and a royal quest that pulls her into a mystery involving a demon lord. While the gameplay loops are familiar from earlier entries in the series, the narrative adds personal stakes and dark fantasy twists. Released in 1994 for the PC-9800, it remains a relic of early tactical RPG design. With its blend of resource management and reactive combat, it appeals to fans of methodical turn-based games, even if the dated presentation limits broader appeal.

The two are unaware of the grave dangers which await them because of this decision...
