Farmageddon: A Cattle Royale is a chaotic cow-centered roguelite where you control a bovine in a battle royale of absurd proportions. Each run tasks you with collecting random gear and dodging obstacles while navigating procedurally generated pastures. The twist is every player’s session is recorded and reused as a ghost opponent, meaning you’ll face off against your own failed attempts and others’ strategies in real time. Wins and losses depend on how well you adapt to the ever-changing layouts and power-ups scattered across the farm. The game leans hard into its slapstick premise with puns and quirky character designs that never take themselves seriously. The ghost mechanic adds a layer of replayability, pushing players to outsmart their past self and rivals. With support for co-op and competitive modes, it balances solo progress with live multiplayer chaos. Though it hasn’t charted high in mainstream rankings, its niche charm and simple mechanics have earned a cult following among fans of offbeat indie games.
It was a normal day on a normal farm. The cows were grazing, the farmers farming, the Yak yakking. Suddenly, a divine creature floated down from the heavens. "I am the Provalone Prophet. The Milky Messiah. I am the holy cow." She bellowed."I come bearing a gift." With an otherworldly MOO, she turned a patch of grass to a sparkling shade of gold. "Once the farmers meet their end, to this pasture you must send, the biggest, strongest, toughest cow, that makes the others all say wow. On this cow I will bestow, a gift that all envy below." She declared. The cows didn't have much else going on. And so the game began.
