Each choice impacts ecosystems, economies, and populations. You allocate tech research, manage food production, and respond to disasters while balancing short-term needs against long-term survival. The interface is clean but dense, rewarding attention to detail as cascading consequences force tough tradeoffs between environmental protection and societal growth. The game leans on real climate science from Oxford researchers and sharp writing from 2000AD scribes. Its scenarios feel weighty without lecturing, blending tactical decision-making with real-world data. While not graphically flashy, the depth of systems and branching outcomes keeps players engaged. A 2013 IndieCade entry, it still holds up as a thoughtful take on global stewardship. The lack of multiplayer or modern polish won’t bother fans of deep sims willing to overlook dated presentation for the challenge.
