Fate/Extella Link is a fast-paced hack and slash brawler featuring Servants from the Fate series. Players jump into chaotic 2D combat, stringing together combos, special attacks, and team synergies to take down waves of enemies. The story follows a fractured Moon World threatened by a powerful Oracle that forces beings into assimilation. You play as Charlemagne and allies, battling corrupted Servants and rival Masters in over-the-top action. Each fight blends arcade-style mechanics with character-specific abilities, making matches feel dynamic and responsive. The game stands out with a roster of over a dozen playable fighters, including returning fan favorites and new additions. Its 2-player co-op mode lets friends team up for local or online brawls, while a robust single-player campaign leans into the series’ dramatic flair. With a 78/100 Metacritic score, it’s praised for energetic combat but criticized for repetitive later stages. Available on PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, and Vita, it caters to both handheld and console play. Longtime Fate fans will recognize the lore-heavy narrative, while newcomers can jump in for the punchy fights alone.
