Fervent is a bite sized horror simulator that drops you into a spooky campsite crawling with weird symbols and empty tents. You play as a paranormal investigator poking around strange obelisks and sketchy ritual books. The whole thing unfolds like a messed up home video grainy shaky and about as comforting as a late night radio static. The game’s biggest trick is how it ramps up tension in under 10 minutes. Most players speed through it in one short creepy session. The VHS style visuals and sudden jarring noises keep things tense even when the story’s more confusing than scary.
