Fire Battle is a 1984 arcade shooter where you pilot a spacecraft through waves of enemies. The screen scrolls vertically as you blast through alien ships, turrets, and bots. Your ship has two distinct attack modes one for air targets with rapid twin bullets and another for ground threats using a slower but powerful bomb. Play alone or take turns with a friend in a two player mode that swaps control between lives. The clear distinction between air and ground weapons adds a strategic layer to the blasting. Though simple by today’s standards, its tight controls and escalating difficulty keep things engaging. As an early Taito release, it shows the publisher’s long history with competitive arcade games. The 80s aesthetic and no-frills action still appeal to retro shooters looking for straightforward challenge.
