Storyline

Shinchoku, Japan, Year: 2087. In the early days, our nation relied on the power and wisdom of the kami. They were worshiped for their gifts, and equally feared for their curses. Their help was indispensable for our development as a wealthy and kind land… But in time, the progress of technology became unstoppable. With the introduction of newer devices, our daily lives started to detach from the spiritual world and the goods it provided. And so, the divine abandoned our nation to its own fate. Steam started running through the veins of our cities, branches of copper and nickel multiplied aimlessly throughout the nation. And so did our despair. One day, the first spirit since The Long Absence appeared in our land. Hitodama began to bring their kindness to the ones still in touch with their spiritual side, seeking respect for the remaining forests and nature around the land. A new and fruitful path started to unveil… That was until the yokai came. Long before the hitodama’s arrival, Yokai were already planning their revenge on humanity. One attack after the other, yokai started terrorizing the nation in what was just the beginning of their punishment against human kind. With their world in danger, humanity seeks the help of the long isolated Iron Monks. Aided by the kind Hitodamas, ready to fight evil and bring peace back. The people of Shinchoku are in dire need. They need help. They need you.
