Followars lets you challenge other players in turn-based RPG battles using Twitter as the social hub. Build a team of characters and face off against opponents in strategic combat. After each match you can post your victory or defeat directly to your Twitter feed. The game plays like a simplified dungeon crawler with a focus on quick matches and leaderboards. The Twitter integration was ahead of its time for mobile RPGs in 2010. Players could track rivals and share results without leaving the app. While the game hasn't aged well visually it remains a curious example of early social gaming. Over 5000 copies were sold on iOS within its first month showing a niche but dedicated audience.
