Fork of the Crimson Soul is a fast-paced beat ’em up where you play as Furter, a hotdog with a fork, dishing out chaos in a world of anthropomorphic food. The game leans into its absurdity with over-the-top combat, dodges, jabs, and flashy combos let you tear through crowds of enemies. Simple controls and responsive mechanics make it easy to dive into the action, even as the story spirals from a break-up fueled ragefest to a globetrotting ninja adventure. The demo ends with Furter in prison, but it hints at a larger journey involving secret organizations, alien threats, and a cast of goofy yet oddly compelling allies. While the narrative twists may strain believability, the energy and charm keep it engaging. With a 7.5/10 average on early reviews, it’s a niche title that leans hard into its weirdness. The fight design and escalating stakes stand out, even if the plotting sometimes feels like a hotdog in a blender.
Earth is home to some incredible beings, from humans to animals and of course food people. Enter Furter Sosis, he's a badass, slightly stupid, headband wearing hotdog who wields the legendary Fork of the Crimson Soul. One day believing his girlfriend Francine cheated on him he rushes out of the house to get revenge on the alleged perpetrator. He meets up with his friend Karemaru at a bar and after a long series of events he gets into a huge fight with the police and has no choice but to defeat them. After Furter beats the chief officer he's subdued and sent to prison but not all hope is lost. The demo ends at this point but there's far more to the story. After winning the prison's fighting tournament Furter and Karemaru are introduced to G.Lato and Giri Omusubi an ice cream and onigiri duo who run a vigilante organization. Furter and Karemaru are sent on ninja missions all around the world. Furter reconciles with Francine, and battles powerful foes like aliens, a crazy stalker, robots, and an evil tyrant. Along his way he will uncover the truth about his fork and what it truly means to be a shinobi.
