Formation Soccer '97: The Road to France

"The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation is a dark action-adventure game. You find yourself at Tungha University, where six students are trying to debunk an urban legend about a haunting ghost, but their ritual awakens a curse that cannot be broken. The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation also combines elements of horror games like Outlast, Amnesia, and Penumbra, creating a dense atmosphere with a claustrophobic setting. However, the game suffers from issues with escape sequences and a linear approach. The Czech translation of the text may be difficult for players whose English is not at a basic level. Despite its shortcomings, it offers an atmospheric experience and an entertaining story with several playable characters."

About
Formation Soccer '97: The Road to France is a soccer management and simulation game focused on tournament strategy. Players guide national teams through qualification matches for the 1998 World Cup, balancing real-time action with long-term planning. The PlayStation version introduces refined controls and team customization compared to earlier SNES and N64 releases. Matches emphasize player positioning and tactical adjustments, with single-player campaigns and head-to-head multiplayer modes for competitive play. The game stands out as an early example of soccer simulation on 32-bit consoles, blending arcade speed with tactical depth. While it lacks modern features, its focus on international team progression and replayable qualifiers appealed to fans of the genre at the time. Community archives note its role in building PlayStation's sports game lineup ahead of more polished titles later in the decade.
