About

Foxy 2 is a turn-based strategy game that layers tactical combat with sci-fi storytelling. You direct squads of units across grid-based maps, balancing infantry, vehicles, and aircraft to outmaneuver enemies and capture objectives. Each unit type has specific ranges and vulnerabilities, demanding careful planning. The game expands on its predecessor with deeper unit variety and a narrative that threads between battles, though it retains the same core loop of calculating moves and countermoves. The story follows two allies racing to rescue a missing scientist from an alien faction, set against a future where humans colonize space after Earth’s collapse. While the plot isn’t impressive, it weaves decently with the gameplay through mid-battle cutscenes. What lingers is the sharp tactical design, maps are packed with environmental hazards and hidden enemy positions, rewarding methodical play. Released in 1991 on niche platforms, it’s a relic for strategy fans who enjoy thinking several steps ahead.

Storyline

In the near future, mankind has abandoned the Earth, which has become unsuitable for human life. Human beings began to build space stations. Thanks to the new space suits invented by professor Toujou, which allowed unrestricted presence in the space, humans could eventually spread over the galaxy. The planet Charon became the new center of science and culture. But soon, a mysterious organization known as "Giras" appeared on the stage. Their troops attempted to invade Charon, and at the same time professor Toujou has gone missing. His niece Lisa was determined to continue his research and discover his whereabouts; but was herself kidnapped by the Giras. Two of her friends, Kyouhei and Kamui, decided to lead an assault on a Giras stronghold and rescue Lisa...
