Fraction Fever is a puzzle game where you navigate a pogo-stick-wielding character through 20 floors of fraction-matching challenges. Each level features Fraction Elevators hidden among floor tiles, marked by a visual fraction at the top of the screen. You must identify the correct pattern to advance, while a radar map tracks your position. Mistakes cost points and create holes in the floor, land in one and you drop several levels. A countdown timer adds tension, forcing quick decisions. If you miss the elevator and the clock hits zero, you either retry the floor or descend to test your memory and reflexes again. What makes it pop is its clever blend of math learning and arcade-style risk management. The simple graphics focus attention on the core challenge of identifying visual fractions under pressure. While the Commodore 64 and ColecoVision versions share the same core design, the time limit and penalty system create a tense, high-replay loop. Players who enjoy cerebral puzzles with a physical feel might find it refreshingly direct, no frills, just quick thinking and precise jumps.
