You play one of six camp counselors at a remote lakeside retreat in this side scrolling action horror game. Your goal is to protect children in cabins scattered around the map while fending off Jason, the masked killer. The catch is each cabin has a time limit before Jason arrives, you need to reach it before he finishes off the kids. You can fight him head on with limited weapons but he gets faster and tougher each time you kill him. The game forces you to balance exploring for supplies and racing to rescue others as your health and time dwindle. The tension of racing against the clock while managing scarce resources stands out. Players often mention the brutal difficulty spikes and the satisfaction of learning patterns to survive all three Jason cycles.
