From the Darkness is a first-person horror game set in a decaying Soviet-era apartment building. You explore dimly lit hallways and creaky rooms searching for a family album left by your late grandfather. The space feels dead until flickering lights and distant noises suggest something still lurks. You can’t fight back or hide, only move forward or risk being found. The tension builds through silence broken by sudden whispers or the slow scrape of something dragging. The game leans into isolation and atmosphere over jumpscares. Players report the claustrophobic spaces and eerie sound design amplify unease. No combat or puzzles to break the immersion, just a relentless push to escape whatever waits in the shadows. The 45-minute runtime focuses sharply on building dread without padding. Some find the lack of interactivity limiting but others praise the minimalist approach to fear.
From the darkness is a first-person horror game that focuses on creating fear in the player. Most of the time you have to walk and explore the abandoned apartment of your deceased grandfather, to which you came for an old family album, but strange things begin to happen in the apartment, the one who lives in darkness will not let you go so easily. Your main task is to get out alive, but this can only be done by meeting face to face with an inhabitant of darkness.
