Frond Online is a MMORPG from RPG Game Studio, released December 31, 2028, for PC. Set in a fractured fantasy world, it tasks players with building characters to tackle escalating challenges through attribute upgrades, skill trees, and gear acquisition. The game leans heavily into group play, letting you join guilds or raid parties to explore its persistent world. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it promises a 3D open environment where political strife and ancient curses drive the narrative. The Game as a Service model ensures regular content drops, keeping the world alive with new zones, enemies, and story arcs. Think high-stakes player progression wrapped in a lore-heavy sandbox, with a focus on cooperative and competitive multiplayer.
You start by grinding XP through quests and combat, using skill points to tweak your character’s build. Combat is real-time with a focus on weapon synergy and status effects, requiring you to balance offense, defense, and resource management. Gear drops from monsters or chests, but relics, world-scattered loot, offer unique perks. Early hours are spent solo or in small parties, but later content demands 10+ player raids. The open world is segmented into tiered zones, each harder than the last, forcing constant upgrades. Social mechanics matter: guilds share crafting recipes, and PvP zones let you test your build against others. Sessions often end with a mix of grinding, socializing, and hunting for the next rare drop.
PlayPile community ratings average 4.2/5, with 84% Metacritic critics praising the game’s systems. Players report an average of 25 hours before reaching level 50, and 35% complete the main story. Moods lean “excited” (42%) and “engaged” (33%), though 20% cite “grind-heavy” as a pain point. Reviews highlight the dynamic world but note early bugs and uneven quest pacing. Achievement completion sits at 68%, with 50+ rewards tied to lore, PvP, and crafting milestones. Community hubs like Discord remain active, but some express frustration over mandatory group content for high-level gear.
Frond Online costs $29.99 and is best for players who thrive in grind-heavy MMORPGs with strong social hooks. The GaaS model ensures longevity, but solo players may struggle with late-game content. With 50+ achievements and regular updates, it’s a safe bet for long-term engagement, if you don’t mind the time investment. Skip it if you prefer fast progression or single-player stories. For $30, it’s a decent buy, but save it for when you’re ready to commit.
After centuries of Elven control over northern Frond, an unexpected and devastating war between elves and orcs began to ravage the Elven cities. However, their great pride remained unshaken. With the capital Edhegland besieged, the dark elves struck a deal with the orcs. Nevertheless, they soon learned that no treaty holds when pure hatred is involved. Many elves fell, but some fled south to survive the relentless war. The conflict finally ended when a human named Gery Elles, the fire sage, burned down the great Lothelye forest, creating a desert in its place, though it consumed hundreds of innocent lives. A curse had been cast. For seven years, peace reigned. The annual celebrations were in full swing when, suddenly, orcs, goblins, and trolls, driven by bloodlust and even more hatred, appeared in the South to resume the war.
