Front Line throws you into a chaotic march through hostile terrain. You navigate dense jungles, harsh deserts, and rocky landscapes while dodging enemy soldiers and tanks. Armed with a machine gun and grenades, you can blast through obstacles or grab an abandoned tank to crush threats. The goal is simple: destroy the fortress at the level’s end. Each victory resets with tougher enemies and faster action. Play solo or team up with a partner to survive four difficulty settings. The game’s relentless escalation keeps things tense. It hit arcades in 1982 and later spread to oddball 8-bit systems like the MSX and ColecoVision. While rudimentary by today’s standards, the mix of strategy and reflexes made it a standout for its time.
