Frustrain puts you in a surreal VR thriller where a fare dodger stows away on the wrong train. You navigate a German expressionist world full of empty spaces and odd incidents while talking to passengers and staff. Simple tasks like fetching tea become weird rituals with unpredictable results as the train itself starts moving on its own. The story follows your character sleepwalking through scenes that began long before he arrived, forcing you to investigate the truth behind the bizarre railroad incident. The game leans heavily on its visual style and narrative rather than combat or puzzles. Players explore a gloomy dream setting where every interaction feels like part of a strange performance leading to a final act. The atmosphere remains consistent throughout the single player experience across PC and VR headsets. Fans of indie visual novels who want something different will find the plot twists memorable without needing high scores or community ratings to enjoy it.
While trying to hide the character finds himself in a train. Talking to a train-mate the fare-dodger realizes he took a wrong train and is now going to a place he has even never heard of before. A bit at a time he runs across some empty spaces in what people say and do. Everything resembles a gloomy dream where simple actions like getting some tea from a train host turn into a weird ritual with unpredictable consequences. And besides, the train itself starts showing some activity which is usually alien to trains. The character сan not escape but able to examine. He sleepwalks through the scenes which had started long before he appeared. He’ll have to star in the closing act of this bizarre performance.
