About G-Force

Eurocom developed G-Force for Disney Interactive Studios back in July 2009. You play as Darwin and Mooch, a team of highly trained guinea pigs tasked with stopping a plot by villainous household appliances to destroy the world. The game launched simultaneously on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It blends third-person action with platforming mechanics where you control small rodents using advanced gear. You jump across rooftops, hack into computers, and engage in shootouts while managing your tiny squad. The story follows a standard spy thriller structure but swaps the agents for furry rodents. This title brings the animated movie concept to life on home consoles and allows players to experience the film's action sequences firsthand during their free time.

Gameplay

Sessions involve navigating levels as Darwin or Mooch while switching between character abilities. You use parkour moves like wall running and grappling hooks to cross complex environments filled with obstacles. Combat relies on a variety of gadgets including laser pistols, remote-controlled vehicles, and stealth takedowns. The game offers split-screen multiplayer for local co-op play where two players tackle missions together. You complete objectives by infiltrating enemy bases or retrieving data drives while avoiding detection. Platforming sections require precise jumping and timing to reach high ledges or cross gaps. Controls feel responsive though some platforming moments demand careful execution. You can collect upgrades throughout the campaign to enhance your gear stats.

What Players Think

PlayPile members have logged over 12 hours per playthrough on average. The community ratings sit at 5.4 out of 10 with a completion rate of just 38%. Most players describe the mood as "boring" or "disappointing" after finishing the main story. Metacritic scores reflect this sentiment with a 61/100 rating from critics. Review snippets mention repetitive level design and clunky combat mechanics as major drawbacks. Only 22% of users who started the game managed to unlock all achievements. The multiplayer mode sees very little traffic according to our server data. Critics noted that while the graphics match the movie style, the actual gameplay lacks depth or challenge.

PlayPile's Take

This title costs around $19.99 used and offers 15 hours of content if you rush through it. It suits fans of family-friendly action games who do not mind repetitive tasks. The achievement count is low at just 30 trophies, which limits replay value. You will likely finish the story without much difficulty or engagement from the mechanics. We recommend skipping this unless you are a hard collector of Disney tie-ins. The game does not offer enough innovation to justify its price tag in today's market. It remains a forgettable entry in the action platformer genre that fails to deliver on its premise.
