Galactic Loader casts you as a space-bound loader marooned on an alien planet after humanity abandons the post. Battle swarms of creatures and towering bosses using weapons scavenged from the planet’s remnants. Upgrade your arsenal by collecting discarded tech that unlocks movement tricks and combat styles. The game leans on tight platforming sections between fights and a steady push toward escaping the planet’s surface. The game’s charm lies in its straightforward combat loops and escalating boss encounters. While not a AAA title, it packs a punch with its chaotic alien enemies and escalating difficulty curve. Developer Alexandr Bondarenko keeps the focus on action over story, which could divide players. Launching on PC and Xbox in October 2024, it’ll be interesting to see how it holds up against similar indie platformers. Early builds hint at a solid but unspectacular 40-hour playthrough.
