Garuda Emblem mixes brawling action with RPG progression in a hand-drawn campus setting. You play as a student journalist fighting to expose corruption at a university where the rector has turned hostile. Combat revolves around beat ‘em up brawls with light RPG customization, earn experience by pummeling enemies to unlock skills and upgrade your crew. The story splits into regional chapters, each offering new characters, conflicts, and collectibles. Side quests and mini games add variety, letting you explore hidden secrets while avoiding the main plot’s tension. The game’s charm lies in its detailed art style and cooperative multiplayer, which lets friends join as Garuda Emblem members. While the narrative leans into familiar underdog tropes, the blend of brawling and character growth keeps it engaging. With co-op combat and a world full of distractions, it offers roughly 15, 20 hours of play. Some players note repetitive enemy patterns, but the handcrafted visuals and optional challenges help it stand out in indie action circles.
The story centered around Farid, a college student in University of Rungeon (UNION). He joined Garuda Emblem, a student activity unit that runs in the journalistic field. One day, for some unknown reason, The Rector announces a bounty for Farid and every Garuda Emblem member, which gives them no other choice but to fight back. Realizing something isn’t right, Farid, together with his childhood friend Rani, and the Garuda Emblem members are now on a quest to reveal what actually happened while defending themselves from The Rector’s forces and the people of UNION that turned hostile against them. The gang’s adventure will be segmented for each region (a faculty or something similar), encountering various kinds of people, challenges, and issues, all while gathering allies, clues and evidence which will lead them to uncover The Rector’s scheme.
