Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows throws you into a brutal brawler with four heroes battling through waves of enemies. Choose between warrior, valkyrie, elf, or wizard each with distinct abilities. Warrior packs heavy hits, valkyrie moves fast, elf rains arrows, and wizard blasts spells. Fight through levels filled with enemies and six boss encounters. Collect experience to upgrade stats, scavenge better gear from chests, and buy new moves with gold. Play solo or team up with up to three friends locally. The action is fast and chaotic, with puzzles reduced to basic key-collecting and door-opening. The game adds online multiplayer for the first time letting players team up remotely with identical co-op mechanics. While the story is a familiar redemption arc, the focus on pure combat and character variety keeps it engaging. Released in 2005 it holds up as a no-frills beat 'em up with smooth controls and a satisfying grind for upgrades.
