Gear Stadium Heisei-ban is a baseball game built for Sega Game Gear. It adds real Nippon Professional Baseball teams and player names to the mechanics of the original Gear Stadium. Controls are button-based with a focus on timing and power typical of 16-bit sports titles. Single-player modes let you manage lineups and strategies against computer opponents. The main draw is the localized NPB license which brings authentic rosters and team identities to portable baseball. Released in late 1995 it's one of few licensed Japanese baseball games from the mid-90s. Limited to single-player only but the regional focus gives it niche appeal among retro sports fans.
