Gears Forever tasks you with rolling a metal ball through tricky 3D courses filled with spinning obstacles and floating platforms. You swipe to tilt the world and guide your sphere toward gears scattered in each level. The goal is to collect as many as possible before time runs out while avoiding hazards that send you tumbling back. Three distinct worlds offer shifting environments from industrial junkyards to skybound clockwork islands. Each level resets on failure but your high scores carry forward. The game leans into quickplay sessions with levels that take just a few minutes but grow increasingly precise. Community leaderboards track your gear hauls against others. While not introducing radical mechanics, the tight controls and varied level design keep it fresh. Released November 14 2023 it sits at 4.3 stars on early Android builds for its polished execution of a familiar formula.
