Geist drops you into the spooky halls of a sinister company as a ghost forced to possess anything that moves. You shuffle between humans animals and objects to bypass security solve physics-based puzzles and ambush foes. The split-screen mode lets two players tackle missions together one controlling the ghost while the other takes over a possessed target. Combat mixes stealth and chaos whether you’re hijacking a janitor to walk into a laser grid or summoning a wolf to tear through guards. The game’s charm lies in its playful use of possession mechanics letting you manipulate the environment in unpredictable ways. Though overlooked at launch its blend of action and puzzle-solving has earned a cult following among retro fans. The GameCube’s visuals keep the corporate setting eerie yet approachable making every creak and flickering light feel unsettling. Cooperative play adds a layer of coordination that’s rare for 2005 games though solo runs offer plenty of creative freedom.
