Geki Yaba Runner lets you switch between two wildly different playstyles to tackle platforming challenges. As a mustachioed hero, you can either smash through obstacles as a hulking wrecking ball or zip past them as a tiny but fast gnome. Each level forces you to adapt quickly, using strength or speed to navigate traps, enemies, and shifting terrain. The controls are tight but the difficulty is steep, demanding precise timing and quick thinking. The game’s standout is its punishing but fair challenge curve, which has earned it a 85/100 average on community sites. While the 2017 release date means it’s older, its core loop of transforming and problem-solving still feels fresh. Available on PC and PlayStation Vita, it’s a single-player test of skill with minimal fluff. Short levels keep things brisk, but mastery takes hours.
