"I could go on and on about other cool stuff that Seraph does right, such as its Daily Challenges, Survival, or the Rebirth option which allows you to be reborn with permanent boosts to your stats at the cost of losing everything else, but all of these extra elements are things you have to experience on your own. Seraph is a fun PS4 release with solid gameplay mechanics and plenty of content to keep you busy. Some of you might feel that the game’s gameplay is a bit repetitive, so be sure to check a couple of videos if the trailer in this Seraph review does not immediately grab your attention."

Geograph Seal is a 1994 first-person shooter built on the Sharp X68000 that swaps claustrophobic corridors for open landscapes. You run jump and shoot in a 3D world that feels unusually loose for the era using analog aiming and momentum-based movement. The focus is on crossing terrain as much as combat with environmental puzzles and elevation changes shaping the flow of each level. This title predates Jumping Flash! by two years and stands as one of the earliest examples of blending FPS mechanics with platforming freedom. Unlike Doom’s maze-like levels it lets you roam rolling hills and vertical spaces with minimal boundaries. The sharp parallax effects and fluid jumping physics feel ahead of their time even if the weapon variety and enemy design stay relatively simple. A niche entry but one that highlights how early 3D experimentation pushed beyond genre norms.
