Gettysburg is a real-time strategy game centered on the Civil War's decisive battle. You control Union or Confederate forces managing resources troops and positioning in real time. The game lets you alter historical events through strategic choices blending tactical planning with fast-paced action. It supports single-player and multiplayer modes and launched in 1990 for Amiga and Atari ST/STE systems. The game was developed by Swfte International and co-produced with Turner Interactive arriving on two floppy disks. Though early 90s hardware limitations are evident its focus on real-time decision-making and historical context stands out.
