About

GFxF is a visual novel that follows Mona, a quiet college student dragged into a chaotic yuri fan debate. She’s caught between Riley, a fiery provocateur, and Hana, a earnest defender of artistic integrity. Their arguments spiral from magical girl tropes to conspiracy theories about the military-industrial complex. Players pick dialogue options to steer conversations, shaping relationships and outcomes. The tone balances witty banter with earnest moments as the club navigates fandom politics and personal growth. The game’s strength lies in its sharp, self-aware dialogue and the dynamic between its sharply written leads. Riley and Hana’s clashes are absurd yet grounded in real fan culture tensions. With 10+ hours of content and branching paths, GFxF earns praise for its humor and character depth. A 2020 release that’s still a favorite among niche visual novel circles, it checks in at 7.8/10 on Steam with 75% positive reviews. The multiple endings add replay value without feeling tacked on.

Storyline

After joining a small club devoted to discussing the ups and downs of yuri in fiction, shy college student Mona finds herself a reluctant spectator of a clash between two titans. In one corner, the fiery and tempestuous Riley. In the other, the passionate and steadfast Hana. The two juggernauts of the yuri fandom collide over magical girls, idols, directorial framing, capitalism, target audience, and the military-industrial complex...? How the heck did we get there...?
