Ghostbusters is a third person shooter with co op for up to four players on the same couch. You play rookie field agents upgrading weapons and skills by completing missions fighting paranormal threats across New York City. Each of the four playable characters has distinct traits and abilities that let you approach challenges differently in local multiplayer. The game launched in 2016 with single player and online co op modes alongside the local play. It spreads action across Manhattan with ghost hunting missions and hidden collectibles. Available on PS4 PC and Xbox One it emphasizes teamwork over story with straightforward combat and character progression. Some players appreciate the chaotic co op while others find the campaign lacks depth compared to classic licenses.
