Gibbous is a point-and-click adventure that mixes cosmic horror with slapstick comedy. You switch between three characters, a hardboiled detective, a hapless librarian, and a cursed cat, as they chase the Necronomicon. Solve puzzles, avoid cultists, and untangle a plot where nothing is as it seems. The game leans into classic adventure tropes with quick-witted dialogue and absurd scenarios. The humor lands well with players, who highlight the game's sharp writing and playful take on Lovecraftian lore. It runs on PC, Mac, Linux, and Switch, with a Metacritic score of 78. Fans of old-school point-and-clicks appreciate the references to LucasArts titles while adding its own quirky spin. The Switch port makes it easy to tackle puzzles on the go, though some find the difficulty curve a bit uneven.
Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure (PC, Mac, Linux) is a comedy point 'n click love letter to classic-era Lucas adventures, HP Lovecraft, Hitchcock and many, many others. A lighthearted spoof of the Cthulhu Mythos, Gibbous will have you controlling 3 protagonists, dealing with strange cultists, ancient voodoo, and Dead Cthulhu himself. Well, "dead" is just a matter of opinion... Everything revolves around the dreaded Necronomicon and how it affects the protagonists' lives. Grizzled detective Don R. Ketype wants it because he always gets his man (or book); and easy going, easy living librarian Buzz Kerwan stumbles upon it and accidentally transforms his cat, Kitteh, into a talking abomination, thus setting on a quest to return her back to cathood.
