Global Gladiators is a 1992 platformer where you play as Mick or Mack, battling through four themed worlds to collect Golden Arches. Each world, Slime World, Mystical Forest, Toxi-town, and Arctic World, has multiple levels filled with hazards and enemies. You use a water gun that shoots sticky goo to clear paths and defeat foes. Ronald McDonald narrates the intro and outro, framing the game’s loose tie to a fast-food brand while weaving in environmental themes. The controls feel responsive for the era, though the level design leans on familiar platformer tropes. The game shares its engine with later hits like Cool Spot and Disney’s Aladdin, all crafted by David Perry’s team before they formed Shiny Entertainment. Despite a finished Game Boy version and a Super Nintendo prototype, legal issues axed those releases. Community interest remains niche but curious, with retro players noting its bold branding and proto-eco-conscious angle. The Amiga port still holds up slightly better than the others, but all versions are curiosities more than classics.
