Gloom is a first-person shooter with adventure elements that launched on December 31 1995 for Amiga and Amiga CD32. Armed with a variety of weapons players navigate maze like environments battling hordes of enemies in real time. The game supports single player campaigns head to head multiplayer and split screen modes letting two people take on the action simultaneously. Developed by Black Magic Software the game was among the early attempts to bring 3D first-person combat to Amiga platforms. While not as graphically intense as contemporary PC titles it showcases the system's potential for fast paced action. Fans of classic shooters may appreciate the straightforward gameplay and the challenge of running it on modern hardware due to its age.
