Glyph 2 from Sandlot Games is a puzzle game that layers strategy over tile-matching. Players clear grids of stones representing five elements by selecting groups of three or more. Each match triggers falling stones from above, filling a power meter that unlocks mouse-based "gesture magic." Right-click and drag specific shapes to activate abilities shown in the lower left corner. The grid shifts constantly as new stones drop, requiring quick thinking to chain matches and manage resources. The gesture system adds a layer of planning to standard puzzle mechanics. While simple on paper, timing and positioning matter as levels introduce obstacles and shifting goals. Released in 2008, it runs on PC and OnLive. Though it lacks modern polish, the blend of reflexes and foresight keeps it engaging for fans of cerebral puzzles. The sequel builds on its predecessor’s formula with tighter controls and expanded powers.
