GNU Sudoku 64 is a stripped-down puzzle game for Commodore 64 users who still enjoy number grids. It follows the standard 9x9 Sudoku format with single-digit logic challenges. Players fill empty cells so each row, column, and 3x3 section contains numbers 1 through 9 without repetition. The interface uses simple text-based visuals common to 8-bit systems. Controls are limited to keyboard input with no advanced features like hints or autosaving. This public domain release has maintained a small but dedicated following among retro computing circles. While modern Sudoku games offer dozens of difficulty levels and themes, this version provides 100 static puzzles across four skill tiers.
