Go Hell Go: Tsukiotoshiteko is a role-playing game with visual novel elements that drops you into a chaotic underworld. You play as Yatsushiro, an oni stuck in a dead-end job ferrying souls through Hell. His routine crumbles when he meets Tomori, a dead girl with big ideas and bigger risks. Together they scheme to escape their bleak existence, but their get-rich-quick antics spiral into a full-scale crisis that risks collapsing the afterlife’s delicate balance. The gameplay blends turn-based combat with story-driven choices, all set to a brisk, irreverent tone that leans into absurdity. The game stands out for its sharp contrast between mundane grind and escalating mayhem. Yatsushiro’s grumpy pragmatism clashes with Tomori’s reckless ambition, creating a dynamic that feels both hilarious and oddly heartfelt. While it doesn’t break new ground in either RPG or visual novel spaces, its pacing and character quirks keep things fresh. With a release date of August 29, 2024, it’s a midlength pick for players who enjoy stories where small-time crooks accidentally become world-changers. Available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch.
The story is set in Hell, and sees our protagonist, an oni named 8246 (Yatsushiro) making ends meet as a guide for the departed. That changes one day when he meets Tomori, a recently deceased girl. With her, he stages an outrageous plan to break out of poverty at all costs. But the chaos the two end up unleashing in their ill-fated get-rich-quick scheme threatens to shake the very foundation of Hell itself...
