Godzilla Defense Force is a base management game where you protect cities from giant monsters by recruiting kaiju as allies. You build defenses, assign monsters to different roles, and use their abilities to counter attacks. Each defeated creature becomes a collectible Monster Card that can boost your team's power or unlock new abilities. The game spans decades of Godzilla lore, letting you deploy creatures from 29 films as you fight back against alien-controlled kaiju invading global landmarks. The game’s strength lies in its deep monster roster and tactical layer. With over 200 creatures to collect and combine, strategy comes from pairing abilities that counter specific threats. The Codex adds a reference-style layer, showing detailed stats and movie art for each monster. While the single-player campaign focuses on resource management and boss battles, the lack of multiplayer or live events keeps the challenge self-contained. Community feedback highlights the satisfying progression of upgrading rare monsters, though some note the late-game can feel repetitive.

Storyline

The Xilien have invaded Earth. Unleashing monsters and kaiju on the planet through a spacetime vortex, creatures of all generations attack humanity. Beginning their assault in Tokyo, Ebirah, Biollante, Megaguirus and other mind controlled kaiju assault the Earth. Mobilizing, a defense force fights back against the invaders using advanced weaponry. Pushing back the alien forces, the Xilien set their scopes on London, Sydney, Arizona and New York while their quest to secure the water on planet Earth is unveiled.
