Goombario's Quest is a side-scrolling platformer where you play a gelatinous hero trying to stop a power-hungry warlord. The game follows Goombario and his partner Goombella as they collect fragments of a magical space rock to prevent Goomboss from summoning a cosmic villain. Gameplay mixes basic platforming with light puzzle solving. You'll jump over obstacles, throw sticky notes as projectiles, and fight through waves of enemies in a world that mimics Mario's visual style. The game earned 4.8/5 stars on Newgrounds for its brisk pacing and retro-inspired charm. While the short runtime limits depth, fans appreciate the tight controls and goofy humor. The art style feels like a low-poly Mario doodle, and the soundtrack uses chiptune arrangements that fit the theme. Storyline

The story begins as Goombario discovered a shard of the Cosmic Star during an overnight training camp. The host of the camp took the star and presented it to the researchers back at Fort Goomba. It was later discovered that if the Cosmic Star was put back together, it can be used to summon Zorgate and the summoner will get it's evil powers. Goomboss has ordered all of his troops to find those pieces so he can take over the universe! Goombario doesn't approve of Goomboss's plans and goes out to stop him. Unfortunately, Goomboss has ordered his troops and contacted Bowser to order his troops to eliminate Goombario.
