Gotham Knights lets you play as four members of the Batman family after the Dark Knight’s death. Patrol Gotham’s five boroughs in solo or co-op, tackling crimes, solving story-driven cases, and fighting bosses from the DC universe. Combat blends melee brawling with gadget use, and each hero has unique abilities and playstyles. Missions mix stealth, direct action, and dialogue choices that shape how you rebuild order in the city. The game’s biggest draw is its massive, reactive open world filled with side quests and villain encounters. However mixed reviews note performance issues on older consoles and a lengthy runtime with uneven pacing. Released in 2022, it runs on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While some praise the character customization and co-op teamwork, others highlight bugs and repetitive enemy types. Best played with a friend for the heist-style missions.

Storyline

Batman is dead. A new expansive, criminal underworld has swept the streets of Gotham City. It is now up to the Batman Family; Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin; to protect Gotham, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, you must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save the streets from descending into chaos. Gotham Knights is an open-world, action RPG set in the most dynamic and interactive Gotham City yet. In either solo-play or with one other hero, patrol Gotham’s five distinct boroughs and drop in on criminal activity wherever you find it.
