Granada casts you as a pilot steering a modular mech through levels packed with enemy strongholds. Each stage requires you to locate and obliterate hidden weapon facilities using a top-down map. After clearing targets a boss battle kicks in. Your arsenal includes a basic cannon and a punchy blaster that stuns enemies but kicks your ship backward. Collectible assist units stick to your ship reflecting shots toward threats creating chaotic chain reactions. Launched in 1990 on Sega Mega Drive and Sharp X68000 Granada blends exploration with frantic shootouts. The free-roaming format feels ahead of its time letting players tackle objectives in any order. The recoil physics and homing reflectors add quirks missing from similar titles. Though buried by bigger 90s shooters its tight level design and varied enemy patterns keep it replayable for fans of oldschool action.
